Our connective tissue (fascia) becomes dehydrated, thick (especially on the back body), or can contain scar tissue.  Our stability in the shoulder or pelvic girdle is compromised, or a compensation pattern develops without us knowing, and we get pain “all of a sudden” or think we are “just feeling your age.”
