Dr. Marisa Williams DPT

Dr. Marisa Williams DPT

Welcome to your sacred space. My name is Dr. Marisa and I have been treating fascial tissue for over 15 years. I first discovered there was more to the body than joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons two weeks after graduating college. Every day I would come to work and ask myself why my patients with traditional diagnoses weren’t getting better with traditional therapy. I soon discovered our bodies cannot be defined by a label. We are ever evolving beings that have different layers of trauma, dis-ease, and restriction.

One person's experience is sacred to themselves - we all have our own individual road map.

I was born and raised on the North Shore of MA and attended college at Simmons University in the heart of Boston where I obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Throughout my schooling I spent time furthering my studies in Charleston, SC and San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. I am a strong believer in life-long learning and have taken continuing education courses in the following specialties: John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, Dr. Ma’s Integrative Dry Needling, Tom Myers Anatomy Trains, Upledger Craniosacral Therapy, Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor, Kerry D’Ambrogio Total Body Balancing, Peggy Fuhs Therapeutic Touch, and I also have my level II Reiki attunement.

Your body is designed to be able to heal itself, we just have to make space for it to happen. Through presence and hands-on manual therapy, I help facilitate finding your body's innate wisdom to foster integration of your entire being.
